Many of times I think that we all find
ourselves in the dark. When I was young, I was scared of the dark, and I was
always drawn to light. I find it interesting that many people today, I think,
are looking for light. They are looking for strength. Aren't we all? Do we not
all depend on light? On Joy? In a world of changing values, and of gloom it is
crucial that we become rooted in light, in true joy. We begin to see brightness
all around as we recognize the tender moments, and focus on people.
Every day is full of moments. These
moments are what make up our lives. As we go throughout our day there are good
moments, and moments that hurt. We all go through moments that are happy, and
moments that are hard. Can we find the radiance of love in every moment? I
believe that we can. As we focus on what matters the most.
People are always more important than
anything that we could ever obtain or acquire. Every minute there are people
who lose a loved one. People who get hurt. People who need help. We all need
help every day. We all could use a smile. A kind word. A hug. A little light.
In a gloomy world can we be the brightness
that penetrates the darkness? In order to eliminate the darkness from life we
must find the switch, and turn it on. We must look for the good in every
moment, and then turn towards others. We must serve in the little ways. For
light is not necessarily one enormous surge but millions upon millions of
little waves of radiance. May we try a little harder to be a little bit
brighter, and light up the world a little more, each and every day.
